Upon completion of the National Bicycle Service Technician Program, which includes both online coursework and hands-on training, or the Department of Labor Apprentice Program, individuals will be fully qualified.

- Evaluating bikes: Assessing issues with a customer's bike and determining a repair plan.
- Repairing bikes: Fixing issues, which may include cleaning and testing parts.
- Safety checks: Ensuring repairs are effective.
- Assembling bikes: Putting together bikes for customers and employers.
- Adjusting components: Changing settings on parts like lights, handlebars, seats, and stands.
- Aligning wheels: Ensuring the bike's wheels are properly aligned.
